Barça criticizes the refereeing: "It's unfair, every 50-50 decision was theirs."

Inter Milan ended FC Barcelona 's Champions League dream. After a 3-3 draw in the first leg at Montjuic, the Blaugrana lost 4-3 in a thrilling match that went into extra time at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium. After the match, Barça manager Hansi Flick and his players publicly complained about referee Szymon Marciniak's decisions .

"We think the result is unfair, due to some of the refereeing actions. But that's how it is, and we accept it. I don't want to talk too much about the referee, but every 50-50 decision was theirs. But what happened is that Inter also plays well, they're a great team, and they defend very well. They have very good forwards, they have possession, and they have automatic actions," the German coach stated in a press conference.

Flick's reflection on the Polish referee continued: "My team did a tremendous job, they gave it their all, and I don't like to talk about the referee , to whom I've said what I think, but I'm not going to say it here."

Eric García expressed a similar opinion. "I don't know what's wrong with this stadium, but I've come here three times, and each time , for reasons beyond our control, things haven't worked out well for us ," he told Movistar Plus+.

" We all know what happened with this referee the last time we came here. I'm not making excuses for the referee because I think they conceded six goals against us in the tie, we conceded six... But anyway, I think we have to be proud of the fans, the players, etc. It was a year when no one believed in us," he added.

Flick's outcry against the refereeing was also echoed by Pedri . "I completely agree with what our coach said in the press conference. This isn't the first time this has happened to us with this referee. UEFA should look into it. There are things I don't understand. All the 50-50s are theirs. In the penalty on Lamine, which later turned out to be a foul, he didn't give Mkhitaryan a yellow card, which would have been the second," lamented the Barça player.

Center back Iñigo Martínez, while refusing to blame Maciniak, did make his position clear: "Today we were superior, but the shame is that the decisions fell on the same side. It's a shame because you're on the verge of reaching the final."
